Mercoledì 9 aprile alle ore 18.30, DoubleRoom arti visive presenta “disegni molto animati”, un incontro di approfondimento sul rapporto fra arti visive e animazione proposto dal collettivo collaab.it nell’ambito della rassegna “SOFA CHATS videoarte da salotto”. L’incontro, che verrà riproposto su Radio Fragola la domenica successiva alle 11.30, intende analizzare il rapporto fra disegno animato e videoarte, spaziando dalle tecniche di animazione tradizionale a quella computerizzata e 3D, arrivando fino alle tecniche sperimentali come pittura animata su vetro, pinscreen animation e animazione con la sabbia.

L’evento dedicato al disegno animato è il sesto appuntamento di “SOFA CHATS videoarte da salotto”, una serie di incontri di approfondimento sulla videoarte che animeranno il DoubleRoom arti visive fino a giugno, spaziando dalla videoperformance alla videopoesia, dalla videodanza fino alla videointerattività, e si concluderà con l’ampia rassegna di videoarte curata da Maria CampitelliSPIN_VIDEO videoarte messicana”, nell’ambito dell’articolato progetto espositivo “MEX PRO Mexico art project” del Gruppo78 International Contemporary Art.

“Consider for a moment how dramatically the meaning of the word “computer” has changed in the last few decades. Thanks to advances in technology, a computer is now a thing that can be tucked into a shoulder bag or even held in the palm of the hand. But in the time before Jobs and Wozniak brought the first Apple out of the garage, computers meant rooms filled with whirring reel-to-reel tapes, panels of blinking lights, and the incessant tapping of dot-matrix printouts. And because so few understood them, and fewer still had used one themselves, computers seemed capable of anything. We could fill those banks of computers with whatever dreams, or nightmares, we wanted.”
